Menindee is a small town on the banks of the Darling River, in the far west of New South Wales. A weir diverts water from the river into a series of shallow overflow lakes around Menindee. The lakes have been dry for about 8 years but with the QLD floods earlier this year they are full again.

We spent some time up there & around Broken Hill recently.
